Kimberley Ashwin is 7 figure Business Owner- Going from Teen Mum to CEO before the age of 40.
She is also a Autism Consultant Nurse and the CEO at Autism Oxford UK. With over 12 years of experience in the NHS, independent, and social care sectors, Kimberley specialises in supporting neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with Autism PDA and ADHD. As a registered learning disability nurse and a SEN mum, she brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal insight to her work. Kimberley is dedicated to promoting humility in leadership and fostering inclusivity in the workforce.
She has extensive experience in public speaking, at local and national level,- her talks provide invaluable insights to her audiences, across a range of clinical, business and lived experiences perspectives.
Kimberley’s professional accolades include being shortlisted for the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards in 2018 and receiving invitations to speak at the Houses of Parliament. She has contributed significantly to service development in the NHS, notably leading the Greenlight Toolkit for Oxfordshire. Additionally, Kimberley has served on the NICE committee for ADHD, acted as a clinical expert for CT(E)R’s, and co-chairs the National Autism Consultant Nurse Network, advocating for national policy changes benefiting autistic individuals.
Kimberley’s Business Adventures
Autism Oxford was established in 2007 and Kimberley took over the organisation in December 2020. Since then the organisation has seen rapid growth from £10,000 turnover per year to a multi million pound turnover in just 5 years.
Kimberley’s commitment revolves around upholding Autism Oxford’s legacy through lived experience incorporation and ensuring co-development and co-delivery in all aspects of Autism Oxford UK’s initiatives. As a mother of three children, two of whom are autistic, ADHD, and dyslexic, her dedication to this cause is deeply personal.
She has Expanded its scope beyond Oxfordshire, Autism Oxford UK now offers services nationally and internationally, across a range of services for all ages. For instance, the organisation has supported the continuous professional development initiatives of the Latvian National Autistic Society.
Autism Oxford UK continues to host international conferences, inviting global allies to present and share expertise. Special recognition is due to Dr. Michelle Garnett, Professor Tony Attwood, and Brian Bird for their unwavering support and endorsement of our endeavours, contributing their expertise to our cause.
Kimberley also has a passion for learning and born from her own lived experiences- finding good quality training online, for parent carers and personal assistants is near on impossible. This led to the development of We Offer Training (WOT), which is a seed company and continues to grow and make a social impact.
Kimberley draws on her years of knowledge and experience of a confident trainer and infuses this knowledge into the online training offer.
